Context:   RSM US LLP is the leading U.S. provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market. It is an audit, tax, and consulting firm focused on the middle market in the United States and Canada and is a member of the
global accounting network RSM International.

Problem 1 -  Fragmented Application Structure: The existing client engagement platform consists of multiple individual applications, including the Engagement Application, Audit support, and Taxi application.
Solution -  Implemented a centralized Unified Enterprise Client Portal application that provides access to all relevant features, as Engagements, Audit support, and Taxi application.
Problem 2 -  Single Sign-On (SSO) Limitations: Certain applications within the platform faced challenges in accessing client networks due to limitations in Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality.
Solution -  Integrate a robust Single Sign-On (SSO) solution to streamline authentication processes across all applications within the enterprise portal.
Problem 3 -  Document Management Deficiencies:
The platform lacked a comprehensive document management system, affecting tasks such as uploading, downloading, and reviewing documents.
Documents were shared through emails, which may result in version control issues, security concerns, and difficulties in tracking changes.
Solution - Implemented a centralized Document Management System (DMS) within the enterprise portal.
Problem 4 - Limited Support for Tax-Based Requests: The Taxi application which was used previously, designed to handle tax-related requests, had limitations that hinder its full support and functionality.
Solution - Consolidated the individual applications used previously into a unified and integrated platform, ensuring seamless navigation and data flow between different modules.
Research:
Research Analysis : Proposed a new layout design, categorizing navigation features like Engagements, Document Requests, and Support for a more intuitive user experience.user-friendly design to simplify the navigation and viewing of client-associated engagements, addressing complexity. Dashboards with features like Simplified Document upload, download, and review pages to automate manual processes.Advocated for responsive page designs to ensure multi-device accessibility (mobile, tablet, desktop) for business clients, enhancing overall usability.

Usability Testing Iterations
Challenges: When initial MVP 1 was released,  one of the challenges arose when we encountered technical constraints during the development phase that were not initially anticipated during the design process. To address this, we organized regular cross-functional team meetings where developers could provide early feedback on design concepts.
Solution: Redesigning a Components for ReactJS Framework 
 ReactJS alerts, snack bars, Filter chips, user profile components have limitations in terms of styling and customization hence I had to redesign those components to meet both expectations.
Impact
1. The ECP Portal successfully launched, offering a seamless experience across devices.
2. User feedback indicated improved satisfaction.
3. Improved Internal process for RSM Employees and Global revenue increased to 41% in three years.
Learnings
In the RSM team, I learned that working closely with different departments is super important. This means collaborating with tax experts, developers, and client service teams. By understanding everyone's needs, we created designs that not only look good but also help the business and users.
The RSM Family taught me always users CoMe First.
